Curator’s clip description

Actress Catriona Brown asked still photographer Carol Jerrems to take photos of her for her portfolio. Jerrems agreed if she could also use them for her own portfolio. Brown describes how Jerrems included two 15-year-old boys and how Jerrems introduced a sexual element into the photographs. In 2005 the two boys in the 1975 photographs, Jon Bourke and Mark Lean, describe their own recollections of the photo session.

Curator’s notes

The clip provides an interesting example of artistic work executed in questionable circumstances. The boys were underage, yet the still photographs are excellent works in themselves.
