Rush (1999)
Length: 56 minutes 30 seconds
Synopsis
An observational documentary about three young Melbourne men and their obsession with fast cars and lifestyles.
Curator’s notes
This is a compelling observational documentary. The three clips chosen show one of the men, David, getting into trouble with the law during the shooting of the documentary. Scenes with the mens’ case officers help to explain their apparent headlong rush into disaster. Co-producer and director Philippe Charluet’s credits include Dancers of Life, Shades of Gray, Wild Swans: behind the scenes and Tivoli.
