Curator’s clip description

Digging up the sand to plant a new banana plantation, Lopaka and Bolo find an ancient carved stone.

Curator’s notes

Seamlessly embedded lessons of all types for child viewers are integral to a Yoram Gross production. In this clip, part of the storyline includes an in-context environmental and history lesson by village elder Kerava on crop rotation and the preservation of ancient artefacts – value added information that would interest many children in the target audience. The only human girl character is Nola, who plays a very minor role in this episode. The predominant characters are male or androgenous fish.
